NEWS ALERT - TO ALL PET DOG OWNERS

Published: 18 Feb 25

An incident has occurred in our community involving a dog, having been let off its lead and not under control in a public place, then strayed onto private land and fatally wounded a garden pet. It is crucial for dog walkers to have full control over the animals in their care. Dogs must be well-behaved and respond to voice commands to ensure the safety of the public and other animals. Please be aware that there are specific rules to follow and such an offence can result in police involvement and a CRO community resolution order. Dog walkers are best advised to keep dogs on their leads in public places and on footpaths over private land. Councils have by-laws to show areas where leashing of pets is required. Read More...

Traffic Data

Published: 18 Oct 23

Sesswick Community Council would like to share with you a traffic survey we have taken from the Speed Camera located on the B5130 Holt Road, near School house, a short distance from the Maelor Works site. We have had numerous complaints from residents about the increase in industrial traffic along this road since the Maelor Works development, in particular the increase in HGVs and long wide HGV’s, which have created a safety risk to pedestrians and other road users, house tremors when HGV’s pass and sleep disturbance between midnight to 6am. The data confirms the increase, which from observations is seen to be related predominantly to the industrial traffic from the Maelor Works site. Read More...
