SAFETY ON OUR ROADS
Published: 01 February 2025
The community survey recently indicated that speeding was top of the list of residents’ concerns.
It has been proved that community speed watch groups are one of the most effective ways to reduce speeding vehicles in communities.
Residents now have an opportunity to do something about it by becoming involved with the community speed watch group. A small group is already set up and in operation, but it needs more volunteers to make monitoring more regular and more effective.
IT ONLY INVOLVES SHORT SESSIONS, HALF AN HOUR AT MOST AT TIMES WHEN IT IS CONVENIENT FOR VOLUNTEERS
There is a speed gun available for use at specific locations. Free training is available if required, but new members can assist existing members.
